Privacy Policy

The short version. Your tax documents stay in your own cloud storage. We don't copy them to our servers, we don't keep them after processing, and we never use them to train AI models. You can revoke our access at any time and everything remains yours.

1. What we collect

Account information: your phone number (used as your identity and verified by SMS code), your email address (optional, for receipts), your name if you provide it, and your language preference.
Usage information: which features you use, timestamps, error reports, the technical context of any feedback you send, and the anonymized topics of questions you ask (never the text of your messages). This telemetry is kept free of personal information taken from your documents.
Payment information: handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number.

2. What we do not store

We do not store your tax documents. They remain in the cloud storage account you connect. Document contents are read and processed only in order to classify, extract, explain and draft — and are not retained on our servers after that processing.

The structured results — your case-file index, your decisions log and any generated drafts — are written into your own cloud storage folder, not into our systems.

3. Access to your cloud storage

With your authorization, Numora accesses only the single folder it creates, or the folder you explicitly point it to, in your cloud account. We do not access, read or index anything else in your account.

Google API Services Limited Use disclosure. Numora's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we use Google user data only to provide and improve the features you request; we do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide those features, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law; we do not use Google user data for advertising; and we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence models.

4. Service providers

To operate, Numora sends limited data to:

AI model providers — document text and images, and conversation context, for processing. These providers operate under agreements that prohibit using your data to train their models.
Twilio — your phone number, for verification codes and calls.
Stripe — billing information.
Supabase — our own infrastructure, which holds the shared tax-knowledge corpus built from public official sources, plus operational records. It does not hold your documents.

5. Retention and deletion

Different kinds of data are kept for different lengths of time, and most of what matters to you is never kept by us at all.

Your documents — never retained. Contents are processed only to perform the service and are not kept on our servers afterwards.
Conversations — kept in your cloud storage, not ours. Your chat history is written into your own cloud storage folder, where it stays yours. Our servers do not keep transcripts of your conversations or calls. What we do keep is anonymized usage signals — the topics you asked about, and whether our answers cited a source — so we can improve the product. These signals never include your document contents, names, amounts, or the text of your messages.
What Numora remembers about you — your case-file index, decisions log and stable facts — lives in your cloud storage, not ours. It stays there after you cancel, and it stays there if you delete your account.
Account information (phone number, email, name, preferences) is kept while your account is active, and deleted when you delete your account.
Operational and security records — which processes ran, and the activity log of who opened a shared case file and when — are kept for 12 months, then deleted. These exist so that you, and anyone you share a case file with, can audit access. They do not contain your document contents.

You may delete your account at any time. Doing so removes the account and operational data above from our systems and leaves everything in your cloud storage untouched.

6. Your choices

You can revoke Numora's access to your cloud storage at any time — from inside Numora or from your cloud provider's own settings. You can change or delete your account information, and choose how we contact you.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest for the data we hold, minimal access scopes, access logging, and separation between identity, operational and knowledge data. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim absolute security.

8. Children

Numora is not directed to anyone under 18.

9. U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of certain uses. We do not sell or share your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email before they take effect.
